„My body is the intention, my body is the event, my body is the result“, as Günther Brus programmatically formulated it at the beginning of his radical body art. It is an approach that is taken up by artists of the young generation like Karin Fisslthaler. In her video „Tesafilm“(2003) she distorts her own face by covering it with strips of sticky tape until it becomes unrecognizable, subsequently letting the „portrait“ newly emerge by slowly removing the strips. (Johanna Schwanberg: “Under the skin”, publication of the exhibition “Point of intersection Linz.
